This is a great stretch of state highway that connects Wevertown to US 9 . For southbound drivers, it connects Adirondack Northway to Wevertown, Gore Mountain Ski Center & North Creek. It also serves a really decent short cut for Southbound Northway drivers to get to Utica & Herkimer without paying tolls or going through the Albany Schenectady region, aka the Capital District
